Early 1980s
Early 1980s - Academic Foundations of the Founder
Before the company’s birth, its foundation was laid in the academic and engineering excellence of its founder, Dr. Riyadh A. Almustafa, who achieved his PhD with a focus on Civil Engineering (Hons) from University of Texas at Austin. These achievements shaped the scientific, disciplined engineering philosophy that would guide the company for decades.

1984 - Birth of Dar Almustafa Contracting
Dar Almustafa Contracting began with the establishment of its core entities in civil engineering, contracting and early partnerships introducing modern plumbing systems (PEX) to Saudi Arabia under the slogan “Toward Better Building”. The company set out to elevate construction quality across the Eastern Province.

1988-1995
1988-1995 - Pioneers of Precast & Modern Residential Construction
Dar Almustafa Contracting delivered some of the earliest precast residential projects in Jubail and Qatif, including two-story detached villas, attached housing and mixed-use residential-commercial complexes. The company also executed large-scale PEX plumbing and modern MEP works in Qatif, Dammam, Khobar, and Rahima — becoming a recognized early specialist in advanced plumbing and MEP solutions.

1989 - International Engineering Distinguished Recognition – T.Y. Lin Award by American Society of Civil Engineers
Founder, Dr. Riyadh Almustafa, received the prestigious T.Y. Lin Award — American Society of Civil Engineers for pioneering research in prestressed bridge decks. This achievement reinforced the company’s commitment to scientific engineering and elevated its reputation across the region.

1989 - Prestigious Government Recognition
Founder, Dr. Riyadh Almustafa, received the Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd Award of Distinguished Appreciation, honoring his achievement of the prestigious T.Y. Lin Award and his contributions to engineering, education, and community development.

1998
1998 - Expansion into Precast Manufacturing & Structural Systems
Dar Almustafa Contracting launched Gulf Concrete Products (GCP), specializing in precast systems, concrete products and structural elements for housing and commercial projects. This marked the company’s shift toward becoming one of the region’s early adopters of modern precast solutions.

2003-2011
2003-2011 - Recognition & Community Engagement
Founder, Dr. Riyadh Almustafa, also served his community through roles such as membership in the Private Education Committee at the Asharqia Chamber and Chairman of the Qatif Municipal Council (2007–2011), reflecting his strong values of social responsibility and public service.

2008 - Launch of Dar Almustafa Homes & Deyar Almustafa Homes
The company introduced a modern real estate development model featuring structural precast villas, standardized designs, Land & villa integrated development. These projects made high-quality, efficient residential construction more accessible in the Eastern Province.

2014 - Organizational Transformation
Dar Almustafa Contracting was restructured professionally under a unified corporate framework, Dar Almustafa Group Company. This marked the beginning of a more modern, scalable, and multi-activity governance and operational structure.

2024 - Passing of the Founder
Dar Almustafa Contracting bid farewell to the founder, Dr. Riyadh A. Almustafa (1952–2024), a visionary engineer whose legacy of quality, integrity, and innovation continues to define the company’s values and future direction.

2025
2025 - Rebranding & New Era of Growth
The company enters a new chapter marked by modernized branding as “Dar Almustafa Contracting” and expansion into general contracting and Energy sector contracting. This represents the beginning of the next-generation strategy inspired by the founder’s legacy and driven by future-focused leadership.
